BE VIGILANT OF SABOTEURS AND CHECK UNKNOWN SOURCE OF REVENUE-VODEC Samuel Attuqyaye Quaye was the only Municipal Chief Executive whose approval on 16th September 2013 was not disputed due to the love of the good people of Ga West District in the Amasaman Municipality, twenty five (25) assembly members and eleven (11) Government appointees. You should quickly make use of the behavior of people in the Municipality and unknown source of revenue to the District to know the problem facing us here as a people. You should be indeed all-listening, affable, honest, accessible and down to earth leader who should do us a favor and what will be in the interest of leaders and the youth of the Amasaman Municipal Assembly and above all a selfless person, you should be a great leader who love the people enough and respect the people enough to tell the truth and also who is selfless, visionary, committed, proactive, fearless, strategic, to participate, tell, tell, delegate with knowledge, maturity, values, relationship, task in truth, right, loyalty and usefulness. Voice of Developing Communities (VODEC), wants to congratulate you and appeal to you Municipal Chief Executive for Ga West District, Hon. Samuel Attuquaye Quaye to be circumspect over leaders you are going to work with, in the municipality. You should reflect the will of the people, Corruption and bribery hurts the poor by diverting funds intended for development undermining a government’s ability to provide basic services, feeding inequality and injustice. The economic effects of corruption can be categorized as minor and major. However, both in one way or the other have serious impact on the individual communities and country. In our society, the impact of corruption is often manifested through intolerance, problems of accountability and transparency to the public, low level of democratic culture, principles of consultation and participation dialogue among others. Those involved in corruption knows no bounds, but you should beware of abnormality and pressure exerted, The Assembly members and Government Appointees should be careful to speak and vote against any illegality. The youth should be enabled to play a productive role in society. Accordingly, great emphasis should be placed on vocational training. VODEC is pleading with the youth to be cautious with their actions and be peer educators for their fellow youth. The task of our age should be the task of thinking. If the statement that thoughts are things is true, then we must realize that the things going on in our District are but the reflection of thought, let us change our thinking about our Municipality and Ghana will change for us. We should instill discipline, patriotism and eschewing corruption, bribery, tribalism and selfishness. The call for youth leaders is necessary, by us expecting the riches of freedom and security of justice for all people. Our country needs to be lifted from the quick sand of injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. We should measure our progress by the improvement in the health of our youth, by the number of children in school, by the quality of their education, by the availability of water and electricity in towns and villages, the happiness and welfare of our people should be our chief pride and it is these that Ghana would be judged.
