BEST-METHOD to crack AIIMS/AIPG/DNB-exams:- HOW TO PREPARE FOR AIIMS –NOVEMBER/DNB/AIPG EXAM (read every line with attention…) NOTE:- (November AIIMS will be having less repeats; more number of newer concept based tricky MCQ and totally different from MAY-AIIMS) • First of all, just go through the latest 5 years MCQ of November – AIIMS. (Just for observation and planning before you start, so that you can understand their pattern and while studying you can focus on those TOPICS/areas.) • Try to focus on ALL INDIA/AIIMS/PGI EXAM 10 yrs. MCQ with explanation and revise it regularly for 3 to 5 times (best method of preparation). More detail study of recent 5 years MCQ will be better approach. (CAUTION:- it is advisable to prepare like this way; it does not mean that you read only these MCQ and their explanation instead message is to read MCQ references from your text books also (only that particular topic and heading not entire chapter) ….this means you will read extra points from standard text books …this method will keep your focus on important topics and you will not be distracted ) • Don’t get panic about exam pattern. You need to follow important concepts and high yield facts. Don’t plan your strategy based on rare and irregular questions amounting to be approx. 5-10 %. New type of MCQ will be new to everyone so need not to worry too much for such type of question.( CAUTION:- don’t jump from journals to journals for few unknown MCQs…it will waste your time) You should not allow a single mistake in simple concepts and repeats. (this will create difference too!!!!!) • Don’t ignore short subjects like -- Ophthalmology (special attention is required for this subject in AIIMS since they ask many MCQ) /Skin/Anaesthesia /Radiodiagnosis/ Psychiatry/ Anatomy/ Biochemistry/ Physiology/Orthopedics (MUST FOR ACHIEVING “TOP- RANK”) • Just go through “Harrison -18/e /Robbins 8th/e etc . –tables (AIIMS they definitely ask question from tables) • Compile high - yield facts of standard text book into your own notes for last moment revision • While studying any MCQ/TOPIC just try to imagine all possible FUTURE MCQ and surely you will find some brand new appearing question in your exam (which is actually a repeat concept from previously asked topic/mcq.). • Use individual subject guides judicially ( use it only for important subjects like PSM;PATHO ;PHARMA; MEDICINE (read CNS/endocrinology/KIDNEY/CVS/ RS etc.)/ SURGERY ; use them only for important chapters and topics and make short note of that for quick last moment revision ) In between keep referring your standard text book for doubt/controversies clearance (add extra info in ur guide if you get any) • GROUP- DISCUSSION IS VERY IMPORTANT :- a) Make a small group of (3-5 max.) sincere friends for GROUP-DISCUSSION of MCQ b) Argue for every option (why? What? ….Factor will sharpen ur approach). c) Spend at least 2-3 hrs. For such discussion. d) Keep asking question to each other during tea/ breakfast /lunch /dinner time ( this intelligent discussion will raise your standard and rank in exam !!!!!) • REVISION IS KEY TO SUCCESS: 1) Mark tough topic in your book/notes and Revise them regularly 2) plan for smaller goals of revision everyday i.e. i ll revise genetics today instead of whole pathology 3) if you are in coaching classes, best method will be to solve MCQ based on that day lecture 4) after class try to solve maximum MCQ based on that topic and add up extra facts into your note if you get any( for last moment revision) 5) this is highly effective method 6) FOR DIAGRAM BASED QUESTION :- a) Focus on those diagrams whose MCQ is frequently asked in recent years . b) Read comments written below them .MCQs are often framed on these comments only …!!! (it will be better idea if you discuss it with your study partner on regular basis ) • Make separate small note book for writing DATA-BASED information while studying ( revise and discuss them at regular interval; they will be of great help in last moment revision ) • Try to finish your syllabus before mid –September • Write Grand tests / mock tests for practice; analyze your weaker areas and improve upon them time to time. • Always try to feel tireless positive energy within you; have faith in your hard work and Remember, “Faith moves mountains” • Its my sincere advice to all.... keep following amit ashish (AIIMS Q BANK)...and mudit khanna (AI q bank)...pgi guide (choudhary )... make your base on these books MCQ and EXPLANATION. solve 10 yrs religiously with confidence because even in NOV AIIMS there will be 20 to 30 repeats which will be very crucial for top rank(single mistake in repeats will kick back your rank from 5 to 500....so dnt allow any loophole..) NOTE:- 1) many NEW APPEARING MCQs are actually based on concept from these q bank if u correlate many different questions altogether ....and this u ll understand when u revise it 3 to 5 times......i am seeing many people/ (pseudo)mentors they are telling -------days are goneby when mcq were coming from these guides...solve my forum mcq it will help you now....these are just a part of their buisness....dnt get trapped in such false advices... 2) It doesnot mean you read these books only...they should be used as direction in which we have to prepare....read your standard textbooks side by side..around those freq asked MCQ......add imp cncept/points into your notes fr last MONTH revision..... 3)Coaching class notes are always gud to make a solid base for revision in last moment if lecture is taken by competent faculty. 4) Believe it very well that you all are highly competent and intelligent minds of country and you can make your own plans or can modify this.....moreover in this business world dont believe people blindly......you may feel like cheated in the end....so be wise and write your own destiny by yourself. • HOW to CRACK AIPG/DNB:- FOLLOW AIIMS NOV PREPARATION ADVICE and THIS ONE:- Yes it will be helpful in DNB /AIPG also...coz in previous AI/AIIMS/PGI they had asked nearly all important topics...so by solving them you can figure out most imp topic ...then take 4 to 5 yrs latest DNB PAPERS...just take 4 to 5 days to go through that DNB paprs..just go through for taking idea of pattern and their important topics....and when you find smthing v unique topic note it down for making simple notes of tht topic....now once you had idea.....solve your 10yrs MCQ of AI/AIIMS/PGI....now spontaneously your brain can anticipate future mcq of DNB type...side by side your class notes/ Notes will also boost u up....u can selectively cover up your weaker topics from individual guides also....but only selective topics!!!!!!....i feel this is one highly important formula/mantra for success..above all .....you all are so intelligent...even u can rationally modify this approach also ...that will be more effective..
