BLOG: Matthew was not comfortable in the hospital. Because of his brain injury, his body temperature could not stay normal.The medical personnel, in their frequent routines, wrapped and unwrapped him and he was always cold. They bathed him in the middle of the night, waking him and lowering his body temperature again. Finally, Anneke asked the head nurse to not bathe him daily. He became much more comfortable as the nursing staff learned how to keep him warm. We were especially blessed to have a woman from our church who was a nurse there, who carefully watched over him.
