BLSKS STAGED 28TH MUSICAL PLAY “SAVE THE GIRL CHILD” Jammu Dec. 13th , Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sanasthan (Blsks) staged 28th Musical Play “SAVE THE GIRL CHILD” in collaboration with ESRM ,Unison cultural Troupe as parts of its regular feature at 197-Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu. The programe was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. Tara Singh Charak , Former Deputy Director ,Health Department ,J&K Government and Sh. V.K.Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity ,Government of India ,Dr. Anju Dogra, Health Department, J&k Government , Sh. Vinod Dogra Chief Service Engineer, Excide and Sh. Vijay Malla Producer Director ,IPTA were the Guest of honor. Speaking on the occasion ,Chief guest Lauding the role of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan-(NGO) and underlined the importance of staging such plays in all parts of the state to generate awareness among the masses about various social evils through theatre/drama which are still very powerful medium of communication. Sh.Charak also urged the artists/cultural Organizations to contribute in enriching the cultural heritage of the country and inspiring the younger generation to follow the footprints of their elders in preserving the composite culture of the Nation. “SAVE THE GIRL CHILD” musical play written, produced and directed by Sh. M.L.Dogra (Chairman BLSKS) reflects the agony of two conservative families who are bent upon getting their daughter and son married at tender age, ignoring the advise of intellectuals of the society. The marriage turns into a disaster making the life of both bride & groom miserable. Even bride ends her life owing to pangs of pregnancy at childhood after delivery of a dead baby. The cries of baby girl in womb of the mother caution all of us in the society, “Don’t kill me. I will be your helping hand in old age.” The Music was assisted by Sh. Raju Bajgal. The programme commenced with welcome song presented by the artists of BLSKS and lighting of traditional lamp by the Chief Guest / Guest of honors. Welcoming the dignitaries Mr. V.K Magotra, MD, BLSKS explained aims & objectives of the programme which have been assigned to the Sansthan for betterment of society Mr.M.L.Dogra Chairman (BLSKS) in his key note address highlighted the various aspects of play which has been produced in collaboration with Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India and State Government of Jammu and Kashmir with Health department for mass awareness. A team of 40 artists/professionals associated with BLSKS undertook three months rigorous coaching to unveil the play which would be staged all over the state in the coming month’s ,Mr.Dogra also disclosed that 150 such plays shall be staged in J&K State during 2014-15. The artists participated in play were Rajni Gupta , Zulekha Farid, Parkiti Sharma , Harjinder Kour, Anu Pandita , Nitin pandita, Rakshit Sharma , Sunil Kumar , Dhruv pandit ,Samarrth Gupta , Sanam gupta , Vandana Gupta , Bodh Raj , Anantika Sharma ,Shival Kumar , Rakesh katoch , Ganshyam Yadav , L-Danika ,bhumika Chib, Abhi, Shiban, Smt. Archna ,J.K.Koul, K.K.Joshi, Asha Zaroo, Kamli, Rajveer ,Devam jandiyal, Rahul Wanchoo , Mohd. Afroz , Neelam , Kamli,Kuldeep, Shiv Kumar,Suraj, Usha Raina ,Asha Zaroo, M.C.Kotwal, Vijay Malla , Hem Raj and programe assisted by Master Deepak Kumar . The play was witnessed by over 400 people including students, Anganwadi / Asha workers, faculty members of educational Institutions and Art lovers with keen interest (M.L.Dogra) Chairman
