BREAKING: Massive gas explosions in Kaohsiung, more than 115 injured Just few hours ago, a gas leak from the city grid created a massive explosion followed by two bigger ones in the city of Kaoshiung. The explosions caused several large holes in the streets, mainly at the intersection of Yi-xin Rd. and Er-sheng Rd and at the intersection of San-duo Rd. and Ying-xiang Rd. into which several motorcyclists and pedestrian fell. The explosions shook the ground of the city and blasted several houses in the area and many windows of the neighborhood. The City Fire Bureau advises the general population not to use gas nor electricity at this point. The City government has established a Disaster Relief Center. According to the Fire Bureau, 115 persons have been taken to hospital as of 1 am.
