BREAKING NEWS 2! My recent postings about the casino issue began when I asked Citizens Concerned About Casino Gambling on there Facebook page some educated questions. They did not like people getting informed on the issue so they blocked me from their page. This made me even more eager to find answers and figure out what they were hiding. Thus the near week long postings. I have heard of many others getting blocked so today I went to the source, CCACGs office on Franklin St. to find out why. I met with Liz Taber who is leading their campaign and got to voice my concerns over the censorship. She informed me she had no idea this was going on and would look into it. The two of us also got to have a brief but very civil debate on the casino issue. This is exactly the type of debate I was looking for on their Facebook page but was never granted. Again she said she would look into it and we went our ways. About 30 minutes later she called me back and deeply apologized for blocking me on their page and that she thoroughly enjoyed my passion for Newport. I asked if myself and others will have access to their page again and she said she will look into it. We shall see soon. Stay tuned.
