BREAKING NEWS; MICHAEL VOSS SACKED Brisbane coach Michael Voss will depart the Lions after being told on Tuesday that his contract would not be renewed at the end of 2013. The Lions players were called to an unscheduled meeting at the club at 3.30pm Tuesday. Club bosses are understood to have informed their three-time premiership captain that he would be replaced. Strong speculation now surrounds former Sydney premiership coach Paul Roos. Roos is believed to have been unofficially approached by Brisbane about one month ago when he is said to have rejected an offer to return to AFL coaching. Brisbane chairman Angus Johnson is understood to have spoken with Roos. He did not return calls late on Tuesday.
