BRIEF HISTORY OF PANENKA PENALTY Antonin Panenka is the inventor of the panenka penalty.....He was born on 2nd December,1948 in prague.He played most of his career football for Bohemians prague. Panenka won the 1976 European Championship with Czechoslovakia.In the final against West Germany,he score the winning penalty in the shoot out with a softly chipped ball up the middle as the goalie(Seep Maier) dived away,this style of penalty is now called the PANENKA PENALTY. In 1980,he won Czechoslovak football of the year and his team finished third in the 1980 European Championship. The Panenka penalty has since beem successfully duplicated by Zinedine Zidane in 2006 world cup final,Sabastian Abreu in the 2010 world cup,both Andrea Pirlo and Sergio Ramos at the UEFA Euro 2012,Helder Postiga at the UEFA Euro 2004 and Francesco Totti at UEFA Euro 2000 NB:Rvp tried it but failed
