MY TAKE Interesting! Whenever this man opens his mouth he continuously displays either his naivety, ignorance or pure deliberate mischief. As for Jonathan being behind the gale of impeachments, youd wonder where Buhari was when the man in the eye of the storm, Nyako himself told the whole world that the President was NOT behind his impeachment so why Buharis vituperation? Also, Buhari claims GEJ is behind the impeachments but 1) In Enugu, the deputy gov is on the impeachment firing line. Is Jonathan also responsible? 2) In Ebonyi, the Speaker of EBHA was recently impeached. Was Jonathan also responsible? And these are PDP states! Buhari also said Jonathan has declared war on Nigeria due to these impeachments. This General is one laughable General! Where was he when his partys spokesman declared impeachments democratic and constitutional when it seemed APC was going to have a majority in the National Assembly? For a man whose credentials are singular (anti-corruption), he cleverly skirted the issue of Nyakos corruption. What role has he (Buhari) played in bringing good governance to APC states? How has he used his huge influence in his party to institute anti-corruption programmes in APC states? Your guess is as good as mine. Buhari also said a man of power must realize he cannot always do things just because he could do them. Hes right but this man must think we have collective amnesia about what went on in this country between Dec 31, 1983 - Aug 27, 1985. In that era we saw the worst use of raw power by a power-drunk cabal led by the same man who is today waxing rhetorical. Shiiioooor! Those who dwell in glasshouses should not throw stones! Buhari should know that Nigerians are far more politically sophisticated than his pedestrian, shallow opinions allow for. If he cannot step up his level of thought then maybe he should just retire from public life and quit polluting our national space with his unnecesarily incendiary speeches. If Buhari claims not to write as a politician but as a statesman then we need to re-examine the parameters for qualifying as a statesman in Nigeria considering the general consensus that weve been ruined by past leaders (statesmen).
