BUSHFIRE ADVICE MESSAGE - YUMBARRA Message Issued: 09:00 16/01/2014 The CFS is currently attending a fire at YUMBARRA CONSERVATION PARK approximately 30km north of Ceduna on the West Coast. This fire is part of a complex of fires that are producing smoke, impacting on Ceduna and Koonibba townships, and farming areas to the North of Ceduna. Forecast weather conditions are expected to deteriorate over the next 12 hours. Although this fire does not pose a threat to life or property at this time, people in the area are advised to check and follow their Bushfire Survival Plan, monitor local conditions and listen for further updates on this radio station using a battery powered radio. Road users are advised to use caution on the roads in the area as smoke may reduce visibility. People in the affected area are advised to close all doors and windows and stay indoors if the smoke is causing concern.
