Back with a bang!, Apologies to everyone for the lack of updates, normal circumstances have been resumed with a bang! As the smell of gunpowder in the air fades and various pets crawl out from behind the sofa we are reminded that the last big bang on November the fifth denoted the beginning of ..the run up to Christmas. Get ready... its on its way!! At the Chronicle we have all ready started, moving our decorations from the back of the store cupboard and beginning the big untangle of the carefully packed away Christmas tree lights. Christmas has come early to the Sidney Park Friends who are pictured with big smiles and an even bigger cheque from Awards for all. In less salubrious open spaces, there is news of fresh plans for the Winter Gardens site that seems to be finding favour. Love it or like it, it will be great to see something on that patch of ground right in the heart of our resort. With news that the carnival will roll again next year and some exciting news about Sea View Street traders plans for Christmas, we all have a lot riding on making our area look the best it can be. The tension for the local football derby has been building up as Grimsby prepare to face Scunthorpe and the article this week gives you all the information you need to know about the big game. Its going to be a momentous day for the 8000 fans expected at Blundell park on Saturday.
