Badin students participated in Civics Day with other students from Hamilton High, throughout the City of Hamilton this semester. The finale was during a Red Carpet Luncheon on Nov 20 with Hamilton Rotary and Hamilton/Lindenwald Kiwanis. Students attended a variety of events to help them learn more about the city and visited various public service agencies such as the Hamilton Fire Department, Hamilton Police Department, Hamilton Water Works, Hamilton City Council meeting, Hamilton School Board meeting, court with Judge Gattermeyer, etc. The Badin students chose long-time teacher Teresa Heinrich as the person to honor for Teresa Heinrich Day in the City of Hamilton yesterday - what a perfect selection! Special thanks to Mr. Josh Mears and Mr. Patrick Keating who organized the Badin involvement in Civics Day.
