Bali Named Island Destination of the Year in Chinese Travel Awards The Island of Bali has been named “Island Destination of the Year” at the China Travel & Meetings Industry Awards 2013 conducted by the Chinese travel publications Travel Weekly and Events. Bali received the highest rating from a blue-ribbon jury of travel experts in China and the highest number of votes in the course on an on-line survey, The Indonesian government website setkab.go.id reports that in winning the top honor, Bali won out over the destinations of Tahiti and Mauritius.
