Builder Michael Colynuck of Sidney BC explaining the building of the bike to Tour du Canada 2014 riders taking a break on the way to Mile 0 in Victoria. Colynuck bought the bamboo for the frame in Victorias Chinatown, where the Mile 0 riders have a group dinner. To fashion the lugwork holding the bamboo stalks together, Colynuck used fibreglass matting and resin. He says the bamboo bike rides better that a carbon fibre bike he owns.
