There is VSS counter at the beginning of trek path, where you need to pay the trekking fees and get your guide. As this is a full day trek you need to start the trek early morning and carry you lunch. The nearest town to banasura sagar is in Wayanad district in Kerala and the nearest towns are Kalapetta and Manathavaadi.
