Bandari Swimming Club won the Boys overall title and being declared as the 2014 National swimming champions during the Kenya Open and relays swimming Championship held at Kasarani Aquatic swimming pool. This is the fourth time in a row that Bandari have won this title. The team was also awarded five individual awards from different age group categories. Bandari swimming club also collected a total of 99 medals comprising of 40 gold, 35 silver and 24 bronze medals. The team was declared as the overall winners in the boys’ category by scoring 458 points. Not to be left behind were the five Bandari girls who were declared as the 2nd runners’ best girls team in Kenya by scoring 181 points. And that was not all! The team also managed to break 3 Kenya records. Matteo broke two records in the 1500m freestyle and the Open relay team consisting of Tory, Naim, Chitta and Zubeir broke the allcomer 4x50m medley relay Kenya reord. Well done team!
