Barbells for Boobs Registration Details: How People Register and Join the CFW Team Sign Up at the Gym: • Signup sheet is located at the member check in desk • Provide your full name, email address, and your division (RX or Scaled) • If you are in the scaled division, please indicate the following: o KB Weight o Color band needed for pull ups o Clean and Jerk Weight • If you have a partner that you would like to work with: o Write their name down in the space provided o They must be in the same division as you o They must also signup for the event using a separate line on the sheet Create a Fundraising Page Online: • Go to: barbellsforboobs.org/ • Select Join a Team • Search for CrossFit Woburn in the search box • Choose Join Team • Set up your Individual Fundraising page • If you are a participant from another gym, indicate your home box on your individual page • Customize your page to inspire those you invite to your page to donate • You are now part of the CrossFit Woburn Team and you can begin fundraising! The team goal is $7,500 but feel free to create your own personal goal. This can also be used to encourage people to donate a specific amount. • Make note of your Individual Donation Page website and/or check your inbox for a welcome email. This will be the site that you will send out to everyone you know, asking them to donate to this amazing cause! Fundraising Tips: • Plan to send out three sets of emails to ask and remind people to donate (see example language below). • Remember to check your donation page prior to sending out a reminder email so that you don’t include people who have already donated. • When you receive a donation, send a personal thank you follow up. It lets people know they are appreciated and that you noticed their donation through the webpage. Everyone MUST sign up at the gym and indicate how they will be performing the workout. It is recommended that everyone create an online page and work to receive donations on behalf of the Barbells For Boobs Organization. Event Details: THE WOD: “Helen Meets Grace” Three Rounds for Time: 400m Run 21 Kettlebell Swings (#53/#35) 12 Pullups Then: 30 Clean and Jerks (#135/#95) DATE: Saturday, October 19, 2013 PLACE: CrossFit Woburn 300 Salem Street Woburn, MA TIME: Athlete registration 8:30AM to 9:30AM Workout begins 10AM STRUCTURE: There will be a minimum of two heats for the workout. Depending on the number of athletes competing, additional heats will be added along with any other necessary logistical changes. Your workout time will be given to you upon registration the day of the event. Regardless of the division (RX or Scaled), each athlete will be responsible for participating in both workouts. The reps for each movement may be divided up among the partners any way they choose. Each athlete will be responsible for completing the 400m run during each round. Each athlete MUST complete the 400m run BEFORE either athlete may begin the next set of movements/reps. INVITE: Friends, families, co-workers, and anyone else you can think of, are invited to come and cheer you on! This is a great opportunity to show everyone exactly what it is you are doing every day at CrossFit and why you enjoy it so much. This is also a great way to show your donors just how hard you are working to earn their donation and to get them involved in the process. DONATE: Send emails, make phone calls, post flyers! Direct them to your individual donation page. Collect a minimum of $80 in donations and you will receive an official “Barbells for Boobs” fundraising t-shirt. We will also be accepting donations the day of the event.
