Bardstown Police Department PRESS RELEASE EVENT: Nelson County United: The Jason Ellis Candlelight Vigil On Tuesday night, May 13th, at 7:15 PM there will be a candlelight vigil at the Farmers Market in Bardstown as part of a tribute to Officer Jason Ellis. There will be live streaming from Washington D.C of the candlelight vigil where Officer Jason Ellis will be added to the National Law Enforcement Memorial. The names of all officers who have fallen during the previous year will be read aloud as they are recognized for their service and sacrifice, that they will never be forgotten. There will be television monitors for those in attendance to view the memorial event as it is happening live. As not all of us can attend the memorial events in person, we can be united in support and faith as we continue to mourn the loss and celebrate the life of Officer Jason Ellis. There will be guest speakers, honor guards and seating will be limited. We suggest you bring your own chairs.
