Beacon Hill, Boston. Beautiful sights, full of history, luxurious brownstone houses, and Cavicchi Audio Video. This is where weve done some of our favorite projects. Working with top-notch builders and designers, the CAV team is able to design a discrete install, keeping the look and feel of traditional Boston, yet adding all the modern technology of today. In this Beacon Hill home, we added three 5.1 theaters—one in the family room, one in the master bedroom, and one in the office. We also added a 3.1 surround sound set up in the gym. All of these areas have discrete in-wall or in-ceiling speakers including the subwoofers—giving that big theater sound without having to see all the big theater speakers. We also added a whole house audio system controlled from the owners phones, tablets, and computers. The system we designed has all in-ceiling speakers that blend right in with the recessed lighting. With zones of audio on the roof deck, kitchen, family room, dining room, living room, office, gym, guest room, master bed, master bath, and dressing room, we have this house covered. This audio system has the ability to listen to something different in each area or create a group of rooms to play one seamless sound in that assigned group. A great feature for a home designed for entertaining. This may seem like a lot, but we didnt stop there. We ran wires to every room and TV in the house for cable, phone, and internet, allowing them to add additional wifi repeaters throughout the house for seamless wifi or hardwired desktop computers. They can connect all their Smart TVs with a hard wired connection for faster video streaming, and it also gives them the ability to add a TV in any of these locations in the future. We also integrated a system into the cable that allows them to watch anything (including their DVR) from their mobile devices and computers and even on their TV at their vacation home in Florida! Thats right! They now have the ability to watch all the local sporting events and news from anywhere. Lastly, the phone wires are feed to a hard wired multi-line phone system that has a whole house paging feature, room-to-room calling, and connects to the exterior doors, giving them the ability to communicate with anyone at the door to buzz them in. Here are a few pictures of how this project came out.
