Beautiful Nevadas angelversary is also today. It has been 37 years since she passed. My beloved and dear friend Bev lost all three of her children to Gaucher Disease. In an excerpt from her book, Mustard Seed Mountain, Bev describes how she felt after learning her daughter also had the disease, That night after hearing the news, when I put my beautiful baby girl in the tub to bathe her, I was overcome with such a heavy heart, I couldnt hold back the tears. My little angel must have sensed something was wrong. She began to kick her feet and squealed with such delight, splashing water all over and getting me soaked. I stopped sobbing long enough, to laugh with her. She kept winking her eyes shut, and grinning, as though to say, Mommy dont worry. My daughter cheered me up! Though many years have passed, time has not lessened the pain for Bev, life is just different. She has many precious memories of the children, but misses them so terribly.
