Beautiful speech! There is no doubt about it but it is vague. No specifics. I have said it before and I am saying it again, Buhari is Intellectually and Morally INCOMPETENT to lead or govern a Democratic Nigeria. Reasons! 1. He led a group of Armed Robbers or do you call them Coup Plotters (they mean the same thing), to topple a Democratically Elected Government in 1983, given CORRUPTION as his major reason. After 31 years and 7 Governments, Buhari is back still giving CORRUPTION as a reason he wants to rule (govern) Nigeria. His reason was dubious in 1983 and still more dubious today. Buharis understanding of Change and Fashola or Oshiomoles Change is not the same. Power Change for Buhari is Power Back to the Hausa/Fulani Oligarchy. If not, why did he not accept defeat and advice his supporters to support GEJ when he was defeated in a relatively Free, Fair and Credible Election in 2011? Instead the government was promised ungovernable polity and since then Nigeria and Nigerians whom he claim he wants to serve have no known Peace. Can you quantify the amount of losses in both human and other resources as a result of insurgency? This guy is a very bad follower and does not love Nigeria! 2. In a democracy it is not the leader that fight corruption alone. All stakeholders must be involved. As such Buharis dubious claim of not being corruption assuming it is true is not enough to stop corruption which is part of every human being. To fight corruption which is a human nature, you need a High Moral Teaching from the Religious Leaders and System Checks/ Laying Strong Democratic Institutions. Not necessarily a so-called strong leader. How STRONG is Obama? Bring Obama to be Nigerian President without tinkering with the corrupt Nigerian System, he will fail. To fight or curb corruption which is a cankerworm that is anti development to every Country, not only to Nigeria or GEJs government, the following must happen; The National Assembly MUST Enact a Stringent Law against all forms of corrupt acts; The Judiciary MUST be ready to Dispense judgement without Fear or Favour; The Journalists MUST practice Investigative Journalism using the FOIA already signed into law by GEJ and avoid Brown Envelopes; The Religious Leaders MUST Preach Morality to their congregations and not Only Prosperity without fear of God and the Citizens MUST be ready to Elect ONLY credible persons with integrity to positions of power, including National Assembly. For now ALL our leaders will continue to get away with stealing our common wealth until a stringent law is put in place to stop them. How will Buhari stop the Capital Flight prevalent in the polity? Where our leaders at different levels steal money meant for development and dump same in Foreign Banks? Everybody is guilty if this both APC, PDP, even civil/ public servants and public office holders. Buhari is not sincere. He is a criminal armed robber who was not smart/lucky to keep his loots when he had opportunity. So Nigerians Beware of GMB!
