Because this was their SMU graduation weekend, we featured Alex and Seth as soloists. Both were outstanding. The Cox quartets rendition of Mark Millers Draw the Circle Wide at the 11am service was off the chain. We have had roughly 27 singers in/out of the Cox Chapel Singers since 2004 (all great spirit singers!), and this particular group (Alex, Erin, Lucy, Seth, a.k.a. The Moxie Coxies, w/Lucinda as their MaMa Coxie) are proving that the renaissance-ing of this group (thanks to Bradley and Jeff!) was more than worth it. The love they give to all, and great intention when singing, are notable. Check this 11am Wesleyan Liturgy out, Sundays at HPUMC (this service began in 2004, 10 years and going strong!). Super-intelligent/theologically brilliant preaching by the fabulous Jeff Hall.
