Been trying all morning to remember your infectious laugh, the kind we can hear all the way down the hallway. You always asked after my family, my mom, sisters and my kids. Remembers my moms cooking and always around the corner when I needed someone to vent to. You beat me in OCD-ness - scrubbing my kitchen so clean each time you come stay with me, I doubted my own cleaning abilities! We shared my home, at times overstayed your welcome and I had to kick you out. Yet we stayed tight because you know exactly what I am like. You were my partner in crime, getting seriously drunk in our wild child days, fighting for the same rights, getting into petty fights. There were days when we would sit and people watch, talked about what we want to do in life. You opened the door to the world of art for me and spent many endless nights at Da Wus Sembawang studio, painting, cooking soup, sitting in the dark and on one occasion, scaring ourselves shitless when Zai Ruda Kuning walked into the studio one wee hour of the night dressed in white. Thanks to you, I now have a beautiful family you are so proud of. I know you love to boast how you brought us together. Yes, you did and I am grateful. You live life vivaciously, traveled far and wide and loved by so many. You have put up a fierce fight. It is now your time to let down your burden and rest. Fly away like a kite. Be free. I will miss you but the fond memories will keep everything alive. eresources.nlb.gov.sg/infopedia/articles/SIP_1845_2011-10-09.html
