Before I post what they (Nova, on PBS) said about the Carthaginians and the Iberian Celts who came to South America around 8 BC, this is why Im in to it; Many years of research on the subject have led me to the conclusion that on at least one occasion, (although after this, I now think there were at least two occasions) varying groups of ancient Israelites came to the Americas. These particular Israelites were Iberian Celts who were with Carthaginians. And there is ample reason to believe that Carthaginians were also, in fact Israelites. They were completely in league with the Phoenicians, who were just Danites (Israelites from the tribe of Dan, who rejected their part in Israel early-on.) Heres what they found; These Carthaginians and the Celts were already familiar trading partners (as well as brothers, I believe) The Carthaginians were excellent navigators, and when Rome drove them out of Iberia, where they were already in refuge after being driven from their N. African home, they joined some Celtic warriors, and headed West. Heres how they know; Celtic writings are found everywhere. The pattern on the ceramics found there are distinctly Mediterranean in origin. They found a zinc/copper ax head that was carved in the shape of a bulls head, which would have been completely unknown to a native South American....but would have been quite familiar to an apostate Israelite...They seemed to have a penchant for worshiping idols formed to look like a bull....another trait of Dan. Anyway, they traced their route all the way to remote areas of Peru, to the home of a tribe that still exists today...the Chachapoya. They have some customs that are different from all the other tribes...but are very similar to Celt Iberians...They both had some sort of medical practice, where they would drill holes in the scull. One of the idols they worshiped was a human figure, with antlers coming from his head....again, not common with other tribes, but common with Celts. The Chachapoya were also the only tribe to hunt with a slingshot....like the Celts Exhumed remains showed that some of the people died with TB. Not thought to be possible, until the Spanish invasion 1500 years later Finally...DNA samples taken from current members of the Chachahoya show 10-50% Caucasian ancestry. And the other thing that stands out about this....This settlement may have been in existence at the same time the Paleo-Hebrew writings at Los Lunas New Mexico were dated (Ive seen estimates between 2000BC and 1000AD, on that)
