Before Katrina Kaif was linked to Ranbir Kapoor, the actress was reportedly close to Salman Khan. And a few years back, a rather ugly incident was reported about them. According to a report in Hindustan Times, the cover story in CineBlitz’s issue stated that Salman Khan had got angry at Kat for wearing a figure-hugging, cleavage-revealing dress, and what followed was a string of loud abuses and a blow to Kat from a stick that was lying closeby. And this specific incident was allegedly said to have caused a breakup between their rumoured relationship. Also it was reported in The Times of India that Salman had slapped her at a coffee shop in 2008, but she later denied it. While in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, she voiced her opinion about men, she said, All my life I have judged my worth by how much I have been loved by a man. Its so with a lot of women, that their self-esteem is measured by how much they are loved by a man, their partner, their boyfriend or may be their husband. In my case, it may be because I grew up without my father. But now that I am more mature and not eighteen any more, I have learnt to overcome that and understand that I have my own destiny and life.
