Being so far away in Colombia, South America (They dont celebrate Thanksgiving...for obvious reasons) I want to give thanks to my family and friends. To my family first and foremost I am Thankful: To my wife Mayeli Porras Mateus - Thank you for putting up with me and my lack of willingness to change (because Im old and pretty much set in my ways) and for loving me unconditionally. To my daughter Maria Alejandra Becerra for giving me the respect as your step father (I know its difficult not having your father around everyday...I know you love and miss him!! Youre beautiful and loving and Im sooo lucky that you are in my life!! To my son Michael (who celebrated his 44th birthday last Saturday). Im sorry I wasnt there for you everyday of your life because your mom and I divorced when you were small. Im extremely thankful for you! YOU are the best thing that ever came out of that relationship (Im sure your mom, Kathy Pierce, will agree). I love you more than you know!!! To my Daughter-in-law Melanie for being a great wife to my son and an amazing mother to my grandchildren (Madison, Cameron, Luke and Sara). To my Granddaughter Madison...you are beautiful inside and out (congratulations again for being accepted to Liberty University). To my Grandson Cameron...Youre super creative and handsome (like your dad). To my grandson Luke...Such a handsome young boy who loves his brother and sisters, I love and miss you so much! Very special in every way!!! To my youngest Granddaughter Sara...Sooooo beautiful, adorable, loving and caring. Cant wait to see you all in December. To my sister Karen Sue Holland Holdridge for always being there for me when I was at the worst point in my life. Youve been a great sister throughout the years (even though Dutch and I made you miserable at times). He He!!! To my brother Dutch who (even though he passed away too soon) gave me some of the best advice as an older brother. I love you and miss you on a daily basis. To my niece Kara Walker (my brothers daughter) for being such a strong, beautiful, intelligent and talented person (like her dad). For always speaking her mind while choosing her words wisely. Youre an amazing lady...I love you soooo much!! To my nephew Kiel Walker for being a loving husband to my niece and a great dad to my grandniece Kaitlin and grandnephew Kyson. To my niece Kristin Jones (my sisters daughter) for being there for her mom and daughters (my grandnieces Tiffany and Amber) through thick and thin. Youve been through so much in your life and turned out to be a beautiful and amazing person. To my nephew Carlos Jones for being there for my niece Kristin when she needed you most (shes a tough lady...Im surprised you stuck it out this long) LOL!! To my nephew Chuck (Fat Cat) Shaffer (my sisters son), who left us too soon, but was a great dad to his daughter Shayde and two sons Dustin and Austin. We miss you everyday. Thank you for the dimes you leave your mom so she never forgets how much she misses you!! Ive had a full and interesting life filled with love and adventure. And an amazing family who tolerated me and supported me throughout the years. I love everyone of you and I am THANKFUL on this day and everyday that you are all in my life.!!! To ALL my friends (you know who you are...too many to mention!!) HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! I Love You All!!!!!!!
