Believe it or not, The state of washington has no such Organization as the " Marine Board" To think that you can opperate any boat on any water? How come we never hear of any problems with boat closures or jet pump prohoibitions, or hp restrictions in Washington? The Oregon State marine board needs to be abbolished! What a waste of our money. A few self serving individuals are having an effect on how the majority of boat opperators is allowed to opperate................................ The following is a list of rivers in Oregon that have no motor restrictions. Clackamas McKenzie North Santiam South Santiam Mid Fork Willamette North and South Umpqua Rogue Upper Nehalem These rivers all have driftboat water as well power boat water Why is the Oregon State marine board even considering a movement to reduce hp to 10 on the Siletz river. What a crock and waste of the resource. We need to stop this crazy micro management of our river by small user groups whos purpose is to limit other use of the area by restricting the size of boat or motor you use. If this is an issue about motors then close the whole river to all motors.
