Beware the wrapping on meats! Couscous the cat LOVES roasts. So when her owner cut the string netting off and served the roast, Couscous jumped up on the stove and ate the deliciously flavoured string. Two days later she started vomiting. Subsequent investigation showed the netting blocking her intestine. We stabilised her and removed it surgically and shes about to go home for more adventures. This common problem is worth sharing as people dont expect animals to eat food wrappings. However, they do, so the best advice is to dispose of these items securely. Maybe the moral of this story is never have a lamb roast with couscous. (Dad joke)
