Big news from the Park today with former great and once skip Pinzones team of The Third and Parker taking on up and coming pretenders Sofoulis, Mangos and Two Dads in the final of the triples at the Park this afternoon.. Whilst underdogs on the tote the smart money was always on Pinzone rising from the finals defeat last year to etch the gold letters on the wooden board this time around and deliver the true believers a nice little earner. Winning the first 3 ends, Pinzone got off to a great start and led all day buoyed by a 4 and two 3s, only winning 8 of the 10 ends but holding Sofs lot to minor scores all afternoon. Being down 10/15 on the last end Sof in a final act of desperation killed the end only to be confronted with the relentless drawing of The Third and Parker to face an unwinnable final end despite his last 3 shot turn around uppy. Great tussle and great effort by both teams to make the final. Congrats to all!
