Birds of a feather, flock together... Birds don’t get any more - TopicsExpress

Birds of a feather, flock together... Birds don’t get any more adept than the beautiful American Crow. They are extremely communal and at times will form flocks in the thousands. This can be seen in the evenings at the San Joaquin Marsh in Irvine as they head inland to nest at the base of the Santa Ana Mountains. Prying and sometimes mischievous, crows are great learners and problem-solvers. They don’t just eat trash, but will pick through it and take just what they want. They are also antagonistic and will chase away larger birds including hawks, owls and herons. They remain always on top my bird list as favorites particularly the six that call my backyard home.
