Black, Beautiful and Biblical: The Bible Is No Racist! As an online observer, i have keenly observed a damning trend among Africans, Africanists, Atheists, Feminists, Agnostics, Anti-Neocolonialists, Ethnic Jingoists, Tribalists, Separatist etc. which seeks to blacken the BIBLE as the white mans invention for the justification of African slavery, imperialism, colonialism and neocolonialism. The virtual world (which i believe is the new frontier) is awash with all forms of daredevil attempts by Africans to crowd the BIBLE and the BIBLE-GOD out of history and memory. This is unfortunate because, if anything, it threatens the cradle of their (black africans) very own history. The most reliable source of Black history is as rooted in bible genealogy. Ignorance is indeed an albatross. Genesis 10:1: This is the account of Shem, Ham and Japheth, NOAHS SONS, who themselves had sons after THE FLOOD verse 6: The sons of HAM: CUSH, MIZRAIM, PUT (OR PHUT) and CANAAN verse 7: The sons of CUSH: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah and Sabteca The sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan verses 8,9,10, 11 & 12: CUSH was the father of Nimrod, WHO GREW TO BE A MIGHTY WARRIOR ON THE EARTH. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; that is why it is said, Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the Lord. The first centres of HIS KINGDOM were Babylon, Erech, Akkad and Calneh, in Shinar. From that land he went to Assyria, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah and Resen, which is between Nineveh and Calah; THAT IS THE GREAT CITY. HAM was therefore the Common Ancestor of Africans (blacks inclusive). Who was Cush? What was he like? Was he Caucasian or Dark-Skinned? Available historical and archival data gleaned from several oral traditions and written works have shown that Cush was the First Dark-Skinned Man or dark-pigmented Man to ever exist, whose direct offspring (Nimrod) was mighty even in Gods reckoning and BUILT THE FIRST CIVILIZATION AND CITY! The descendants of Ham live mostly in South-west Asia and Africa. Infact, the Bible often refers to Africa as the land of Ham (see Psalms 105:23, 106:21-22). Did you know that cush is the Hebrew word for old Ethiopia? Hence, each time you see the word Ethiopia in the English Bible, please note that it is a translation of the Hebrew word cush. Titus Flavius Josephus, a renowned Hebrew Scholar, Historian and Author rendered the name as Chus, and says that the Ethiopians are even at this day, both by themselves, and by all men in Asia, called Chusites (or cushites)- parenthesis mine. The English Dictionary defines the Cushites as: 1. A member of one of the peoples of eastern Africa, or any BLACK AFRICAN. *A Cushite was the same as a man of colour, (N. Morren (trans), E.F.C. Rosenmuller, Biblical Geography of Central Asia, 1836). 2. A sub-family of the Afro-Asiatic languages, cushitic. Wikipedia says that the Hebrew word Cushi or Kushi derived from Cush refers to dark-skinned people, and that in present-day Israel it is considered an ethnic slur. More like an insult or a thing of derision. Did you know that Moses wife was an African? She was a Cushite. See Numbers 12:1. She was most probably dark-skinned! This may not be unconnected to the reason why Aaron and Miriam, Moses siblings, did not like her. They were racists. And contrary to what some believe, God defended Moses choice of marrying an African! Miriam became leprous and Aaron barely escaped punishment because he wore the priestly garment which must not be defiled. God is no racist! This is no attempt to promote some black/african consciousness, but to inform the gullible who vilify God and the Bible for the woes of Black Africa. Throw the Bible and lose your root forever. But there is more. Ham had other descendants who now populate the African Continent, to wit; Mizraim, the second son of Ham, is the Hebrew word for Egypt (also in Africa). Each time you see the name Egypt in the bible (with only one exception), it is always a translation of Mizraim. See for instance Genesis 50:11. Put (or Phut), the next son of Ham and grandson of Noah, is the Hebrew name for Libya (also in Africa, North Africa)! I have found that the ancient river Phut was in Libya. In the Book of Daniel 11:43, the name Phut had been changed to Libyans. Josephus, the writer, says: Phut was the founder of the Libia (sic), and called the inhabitants Phutites, from himself Canaan, the next son of Ham (and Noahs grandson), is the Hebrew name for the region later called by the Romans as Palestine i.e Modern Israel and Jordan (though not in Africa). However, the MOST PROMINENT descendant of Ham was Nimrod son of Cush (the dark-skinned one). He founded Babel (Babylon) and all the aforementioned cities in Shinar (Babylonia). I encourage those who seek to obliterate Biblical texts from our libraries to do a little search, and discover an adventure of how the Sons of Ham and their descendants migrated to where is now known as Africa, even to the point that the cushitic languages are spoken as far as in Somalia, Ethiopia and SEVERAL OTHER TRIBES believed to be descended from Cush. (Of course, the languages have evolved further than these). I dare say that much of the vilification of and hatred towards the Bible is rooted in the prolonged false representation of the races in Bible-based movies. In other words, the Media and Hollywood have much to contribute to this Afrocentric hatred towards the Bible. I have seen a Moses movie where his wife is portrayed as Causasian when the Bible gives a different picture. Africans then blame the Bible for racism, racial domination and instrument of colonization etc., and not the Script-Writer or Movie Director. So unfortunate. Indeed, biblically, the First Civilization came from Ancestors of the Continent later to be known as Black Africa. They were descendants of NOAH! SO, if Noah was a myth, what does that make Africa as a Continent? A lie!? I cannot deal with all of history here, lest i bore everyone. But think twice before you ask that the Bible be removed from your African consciousness in favour of those demon gods. You may just be casting your ancestral root into an abyss of oblivion. You are Black, Beautiful and Biblical. Selah.
