Black Friday is not a tradition in this country. This is the first - TopicsExpress

Black Friday is not a tradition in this country. This is the first year Ive heard of it being referred to as Black Friday and its been puzzling me. I wondered why wed taken it up in this country and then it hit me. Make the public think theyre getting a bargain, that the bargains are in short supply, therefore raise demand. Make everyone fearful that theyre going to miss out if they dont get in there right away and fight for what they *need*. Cause people distress because of the keeping up with the Joneses and you have a successful business day. Never mind the chaos caused. Dont worry about the cost to the country in extra police work and hospital visits because of damage and injuries caused in the melee, just get that balance sheet rising and everyone is a winner. I hope all those stores that had fights and scuffles get sued by the public caught up in the fracas. Then again, that will only come out of our pockets in the end as their insurance premium goes up and the cost gets fed into price hikes on the shelves. So, was that bargain worth it?
