Black folk often ask what is this blacker than me business? As I - TopicsExpress

Black folk often ask what is this blacker than me business? As I see it all black folk are black folk, but all black folk aren’t negros. What do I mean? White folks see themselves as world leaders, that that is their natural role, their “god” given right. The negro sees the same things. Since they were educated in white institutions, raised with European values, and internalized the white man’s god and societal systems, they accept the white man’s version of world order and by default, accept their lesser role and their part to maintain that order. Then we have black folk who are the working poor, the angry, self-destructive, and those that have given up and seek alternative means of survival. They are our “middle class,” the black folk that are the target of the negro and those “other” blacks who wish to challenge white rule and stress self-determination. The negro and the “other” blacks are deeply divided and the middle class don’t trust either or are too busy trying to survive. How do we resolve this situation in the black community? So far we have left the resolution for the European, with the negro’s help, to solve with his laws and economic manipulation. Do we allow this to continue or do we continue to defer by thinking in terms of what is black? Ask yourself honestly, where do I fit?
