Blanchisseuse body identified A man found shot dead along Blanchisseuse Road, Arima was identified yesterday as 32-year-old Kristoff Gouveia. Police said around 3 a.m. on Saturday, his body was found with two bullet wounds to the back of his head. His relatives spoke to the Express yesterday morning and they said they were still trying to piece together what happened. They said the last they heard of Gouveia, who was from Arima, was that he was giving a co-worker a lift to Sangre Grande on Friday night. The police speculate that during his journey from Sangre Grande he was pounced on by bandits and they shot him while trying to steal his car. But with a number of anti-theft devices on the vehicle, the bandits left the car close to where Gouveia’s body was found as they were unable to start the vehicle.
