Bloodstock report: Once again we got there early but the camera ran out of juice by the third band hence why theres only 16 photos, that said..... 1: Evil Scarecrow: Fun and funny as hell! No this isnt a band formed by the Batman Villain but what it is is a pistake at Black Metal! 2: Shining: Ugh, I thought Primordial would be this years Eastern Front (as in a band that I didnt enjoy at all) but even they werent as bad as this band from Norway, they are a combination of Jazz and Black Metal and whilst that does sound interesting it was poor in execution, guitar was distorted to unlistenable levels and the sax sounded like it had a dying cat inside. 3: Decapitated: Much better than Shining (not that thats saying much but it was still a kickass set,. 4: Orphaned Land: This is a band from Israel and whilst I dont follow politics the war over in Israel is kind of the Elephant in the Room here, that said the set was great and whilst they did bring up the war it was handled tastefully in my opinion. 6: Lacuna Coil: Great set from the Italian Symphonic Metal band! 7: Children of Bodom: They kicked ass all set long and were really tight, I would definitely see them again. 8: Carcass: Unfortunately two songs in someone collapsed in the crowd and they stopped the show so that he could get medical attention, thankfully Bill Steer explained it and the great set went on! 9: Emperor: They were incredible, unfortunately it started raining during the set but it was a great set and they closed it with a awesome cover of Bathorys A Good Day To Die. Third and final report is coming up tomorrow and I keep getting attention for my rendition of The Trooper last night, guess I did something right!
