Blue Star Centre Trinidad and Tobago invites you to join Master Sri Vasudeva in observing the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, on Thursday 27th February 2014 from 8.30 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. the following day. Live video streaming will be from 8:30 pm to 6:00 am on Livestream.(Tinidad time). Let us join together on this auspicious night as we go beyond body consciousness and merge into Shiva Consciousness, so as to express our true Divine Self, the highest part of our own being, and in so doing, co-creating energies of peace, love, and harmony. Shiva is a power in the Universe that is not just the little symbol; the symbol is only the representation. Shiva is that power in the Universe from which everything emerges and to which everything merges. The purpose of religion, the purpose of ritual, the purpose of worship is to transform the human consciousness and to lift the human consciousness into a state of divine consciousness. Rituals are there to take you inside, it is there to help your mind to interiorize to go inward and to experience that which is observing the whole play of life. Chanting is a wonderful way to transmit spiritual energy and to express our own spirituality. During this night we chant special mantras or powerful divine sounds and meditate on our Divine Self that we call Shiva. Shivratri is a night dedicated to the worship of Shiva or the worship of our Higher Self. In chanting mantras and contemplating our Shiva nature, we have an opportunity to realize our Higher Self. This brings us to a higher state of consciousness as we move beyond our human limitations to experience our beautiful and powerful Divine Self.
