Bob had a Karmanos appointment in Detroit this morning. The radiologist there took a look at the CT scan from yesterday and said the lung looked remarkably better. They are not sure if the tumor is gone or if what they are still seeing is liquid. Bob will go back to Karmanos next week for a PET scan and another doctor visit/intake appointment two days after the PET scan. The doctor there needs all of Bobs records from Lapeer and they will look everything over with the PET scan to see if anything else needs to be done. If the tumor is still there, they may surgically remove it or do more chemo at a lower dose than he had before. At todays visit the doctor said his intent was to cure him of this disease. So, it all looks good. If you havent seen Bob in awhile, he feels good and looks good. Thin, but holding steady with his weight. He has done some kayaking, camping, and fishing this summer.
