Body found in Arkansas River At around 8:00 am this morning the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a body floating in the Arkansas River near navigational mile marker 283 (Arbuckle Island area). A river boat captain had called the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, but the information was forwarded to this office. The SCSO boat patrol and investigators were immediately dispatched to the area. The body was found and recovered about 5 miles downriver from Vache Grasse Park. The body was not identifiable at this time. The body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for identification and an autopsy for the cause of death. The Barling Police Department did take a report in the evening of 9-9-14 in reference to a missing person. At this time Jamison Boyster is still listed as missing.
