I remind the boys to put sunblock I dont want them sunburnt. I decide to make all the kids stand in a line and then rub each of them properly with sunblock. My 2 boys took their t-shirts off now! They come and tell me this is their best day ever :/ Mummy this is even better then you taking us to see the ninja turtles Definately take after Faizels family 😝 My parents would not be impressed to see where we are now. Growing up we always went to resorts, warmbaths, badplaas... That kind of thing! C and I clear up everything so we can reset for lunch. Saj is so lazy she doesnt even offer to help !!!!! Everyone claps, the kids run over to see, and even Cs daughters say they want to give this fishing thing a try! Az says Let me take your pic and put it on Instagram ;) Moh says since I caught it I have to hold it for the pic he laughs at my face and say I have this horrified expression �:D At least I have a pic to proove to my bros that I did it! The guys all start teasing Moh that I caught a fish and he says ya she just has beginners luck ! Saj: I feel like Im babysitting the kids since half of them are fishing and Az is busy with her set up like we having a conference. If its not one saying I want to go toilet its the other wanting juice or crisps and who must see to them? ME! I wont even bother to go help, I do enough at home with no maid, so today its my day off! And besides, who wants to work at the dam? Look at Cs kids, bringing technology to the dam, its just so rude! Oh... I see Amarah putting a movie on for Irfaan...well, thats ok I suppose. At least hes sitting here one side behaving, not like the rest of the bunch, catching worms and making mud-cakes. Oh wait, I forgot the therapist said I should encourage movement and activity. Irfaan, why dont you play there with Hamza and them, then after we have lunch you guys can watch the movie? I hear M.Umair crying and go get him out of his pram, it feels so nice to hold a baby! Im so broody but Yusuf is having second thoughts... Let me not get into that now or Ill be depressed the whole day ! Careema: My tummy still hurts from laughing at Azra have a panic attack because she forgot the dhai. I load all the kids (mud and all!) into the car, and go find a cafe and buy normal Inkomaas, and then of course ice creams for everyone. When we get back, I park next to a dark-green X3 that looks very familiar. Oh well, the dam is full of people today. I watch Su and Isi, and then Nuha and Moh and feel a pang. Not of jealousy... just of something Since they all still so into the fishing, and are trying to catch a fish bigger than Nuhas and Raeesah is actually trying to fish now, and we are all still full from the breakfast snacks, well eat a little later. I decide to grab my book from my bag, and get comfortable on the blanket next to Amarah. Ive been wanting to read this for a long time now. Its called Mornings in Jenin and is about life in Palestine from before the occupation until now. The book is really gripping and as Im engrossed in it, a sudden shadow casts over me. I look up and thinking its one of the kids almost say Move it!...but instead its Ziyadh!!! Omg, omg, omg...what do I say??? I quickly sit up and hes still towering over me, so then I stand up. Salaam, he says, as he smiles. Those green eyes! I cant think straight...Oh gosh, it was his car Im parked next to!!! Suhaila: I have to hand it to Azra, she knows how to entertain, even at the dam! Weve been eating all day! I dont have much of an appetite still, but I try to force myself to eat. I gave fishing a try for a bit, but I think my muscles are still weak, and maybe I am pushing myself a bit physically. My head is abit sore, but I dont say anything. Theyll all get worried, and Isi will want to go home, and everyones having such a nice time. So now Im just sitting next to Isi, and chatting while he fishes. I look over to the kids, theyve all stripped down to their costumes, and are playing in the mud! Adding in the ice cream smudges on their faces, they look like little jungle children, but oh so cute. Az looks a little horrified and has given up running after them with antibacterial wetwipes :D I reach for my phone and get a few pics without them noticing. I turn towards the gazebo to get some pics of M.Umair and the other ladies. Who is that guy talking to C??? Oh-oh, Raeesah has just noticed him too, and Amarahs pulled off her earphones. Oh wait, Amarahs smiling and talking to him too. Whos that? I ask Raeesah. I think its my mamajis friend. He stays near my nani and nana...
