Boston - Network Security Engineer Job Description Working in the Global Infrastructure team this role involves the design, implementation, administration, and support of the Network and Security infrastructure comprising Checkpoint, Juniper, Riverbed, and other leading technologies. Primary Responsibilities • Design, Implementation, Support, and Administration of networking infrastructure, encompassing its Juniper & Dell switches, Riverbed Steelhead Appliances, Carrier lines (including MPLS, Internet, and fiber interlinks), SNMP-based network management tools, wireless networks (Juniper and Aruba), and Cisco routers. • Design, Implementation, Support, and Administration of security infrastructure, encompassing Checkpoint firewalls (Gaia-based R7x series), various endpoint security products (including Check Point Endpoint Security, Bit9 Parity, McAfee ePO). • Maintenance, upgrades & renewals of Endpoint Security product subscriptions • Assist with the set-up of new offices, IT facilities, and office moves • Maintaining/administering DNS and email flow (including spam appliances) • Working in a small team it may be necessary to get involved in other aspects of support including Windows/Application (including SQL) administration and some desktop support Qualifications/Requirements • 5+ years’ experience configuring and administering firewalls and secure remote access technologies using Check Point Firewall (both SPLAT and Gaia) at a CCSE level • Knowledge of industry best practices regarding Information Technology security including the hardening of OS and Applications (CISSP certification is a bonus) • College degree required, Computer Science preferred • Experience in operational administration of LAN and WAN Network Technologies including a CCNP level understanding of Cisco or Juniper networking technologies • Experience working with Riverbed appliances and enterprise-class wireless infrastructures • Willingness to learn quickly in a demanding environment and to change priorities quickly to meet customer requirements • A team member with a good sense of humor • Field experience will be highly regarded • A reliable, motivated, proactive and extremely organized individual who is capable of prioritizing workloads • Flexible working hours are a must - the nature of the business is such that, from time-to-time outside work hours work will be needed • Ability to work independently and to deadline • International travel to foreign offices may be required on an as-needed basis
