Boxers in Malta does not tolerate backyard breeding. If you love boxers you breed properly doing all relevant health tests, namely heart and hip scores, and genetic testing. Any posts asking for mating, breeding etc will be deleted. If you need help, guidance or assistance please ask. Why do we have this policy in here? I have seen too many boxers die or lead a miserable life due to severe health issues that are completely avoidable if proper genetic testing and hip and heart scores are performed before any breeding is done. Local vets do not do all these tests and for some the only way is going abroad to have them performed. Having your dog seen to by a local vet will not determine that your dog is free from these conditions (unless your dog suffers from them) and will definately not determine if your dog is a carrier of these conditions. Personally I dont care if you breed a show champion or your pet, thats not why this rule is in place, but please, either do it properly or dont.. No one likes to see a puppy put down, a dog dying in its prime or leading a miserable life in pain. Thank you. Admin
