However, Mexico have become a bit of a bogeyman for the seleção. In the last eleven confrontations, Mexico have won six, Brazil just two. In last year’s Olympics, Mexico beat Brazil in the mens football final. Back in 1999, they also beat the Brazilians in the final of the Confederations Cup in Mexico. Brazil will play Italy in their final group phase game in Salvador on Saturday.
