Brazil x Mexico: probable starting line-ups 19 June 2013 ::::::: Brazil face Mexico in the estádio Castelão on Wednesday knowing that a win is likely to take them through to the next phase of the Confederations Cup. Mexico go into the tie after losing 2-1 to Italy in Rio. Another loss and the Mexicans will be heading home. Felipão is expected to repeat the same starting line-up that disposed of Japan 3-0 in Brasília at the weekend. The two sides have met 37 times with Brazil coming out on top 21 wins to 10. However, Mexico have become a bit of a bogeyman for the seleção. In the last eleven confrontations, Mexico have won six, Brazil just two. In last year’s Olympics, Mexico beat Brazil in the mens football final. Back in 1999, they also beat the Brazilians in the final of the Confederations Cup in Mexico. Brazil will play Italy in their final group phase game in Salvador on Saturday.
