Bristol Friendly Team News NICKY CLARK and Jon Daly will start in attack as Rangers look to record a third successive pre-season victory, this time against Sean O’Driscoll’s Bristol City. After 2-0 and 1-0 wins over Brora Rangers and Elgin City respectively the Light Blues will now be hoping to shift through the gears and produce another positive performance at the Robin’s 21,501 capacity Ashton Gate ground. Clark and Daly got the opportunity to link up in the second half against Brora and the partnership showed plenty of promise albeit it was another half-time substitute Lewis Macleod who netted both goals against the Highland League outfit. This afternoon, however, the strikers will be hoping to click again as Ally McCoist shuffles his pack for what should be an intriguing 90 minutes against an English League One side that will no doubt provide a really good test for the Light Blues. With Cammy Bell in goals the Gers backline will consist of Richard Foster, who will be facing his former club, at right back, Emilson Cribari and trialist Belil Mohsni in the centre and Lee Wallace will wear the captain’s armband at left-back with Lee McCulloch on the bench. In midfield Andy Little’s power and pace will be utilised on the right flank with Kyle Hutton and Nicky Law in the engine room and Steven Smith on the left wing in front of Wallace as part of a 4-4-2 formation. This quartet will be asked to provide support and service for the front two of Clark and Daly but McCoist has plenty of back-up to call upon with nine substitutes listed. With temperatures expected to soar into the thirties the manager can make changes when required with keeper Scott Gallacher joined by Sebastien Faure, Luca Gasparotto, Ian Black, Lewis Macleod, Robbie Crawford, Fraser Aird, Kyle McAusland and McCulloch on the bench. Arnold Peralta, as expected, has been left out of the squad having only met his Rangers team-mates for the first time yesterday. Today’s game will kick-off at 12.30pm and you can follow the match live on Twitter with updates coming on the official club account @rfc_official.
