Burlington Coat opening: eCommerce Content Specialist Reports To: eCommerce Merchandiser Position Summary: The eCommerce Content Specialist is responsible for coordinating eCommerce content and marketing activities to support the Burlington Coat Factory eCommerce business growth for all categories sold online (NOTE: As the business grows, we expect to add additional Content Associates with specialization in subsets of categories, but the initial Content Associate will have responsibility for all areas). The Content Associate will partner with the other eCommerce Teams as well as Merchandising, Marketing and Supply Chain to accomplish these goals and will support online sales initiatives and growth. Duties and Responsibilities: (List the major duties and responsibilities in order of importance and the percentage of time spent. Total should not exceed 100%. List 5-8 major functions of the role.) Major Duties and Responsibilities Percentage of Time Spent • Responsible for writing copy for all products, campaign creative and emails as needed. Optimize all on-page content efforts for SEO to drive organic search traffic and revenue. • Partner with eCommerce Merchandisers to set item attributes and appropriately categorize items to optimize on site sales. Collaborate with web design, merchandising, marketing, vendor and photography teams to gather assets required to publish new products and/or campaigns. Includes preparation and movement of samples between Merchandising, Photography Studio and Fulfillment center. • Partners with Merchandiser to develop and execute category specific non-merchandise content including category graphics and content, email copy and proposals for site wide category features. • Diligently monitor the entire site to ensure accuracy and quickly address merchandising issues as they arise. • Assist eCommerce team in the development of traffic and conversion driving initiatives, marketing programs, promotions and any related collateral that contributes to building brand awareness and revenue for the retail & eCommerce channels. Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required Licenses/Certification/Registration: Experience: 2+ years experience in a website merchandising or site experience role; experience with a multi-channel retailer preferred; experience in the off-price space a plus but not required. Skills and Abilities: Excellent analytical, creative problem solving/decision making skills; ability to make timely, effective, fact-based decisions with confidence. Self-starter. Strong project management skills. Great organizational and time management skills on a personal and team level are a must. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility and adaptable to change. Results oriented, great attention to detail and ability to prioritize. Strong ability to work cooperatively as part of a team in a fast-paced, high pressure environment. Physical Requirements: Responsible for moving all eCommerce samples to Photography Studio and Fulfillment Center on a daily basis (including, but not limited to rolling racks, boxes, carts, etc.).
