Burning incense paper is a traditional Taoist practice, especially during the 7th Moon period. Ashes and smoke can irritate some. For this year’s 7th Moon, our Town Council will be trying out new burners, with better design and made of stainless steel. At pilots, they have been found to cut down the emission of ashes to only 3%! In addition, the amount of smoke is also reduced by one-third. This is a tremendous improvement! The burners cost the Town Council more, but it is a good investment for our residents.
