But its not by choice that Im following the madness live...and I dont need the livestream to do it...I can hear it just fine and FEEL it vibrating the ground...sitting right here on the sofa in the sanctity of my own home. The main stage is 2 miles from here on a Belgium billionaires horse farm, but it sounds more like its a couple of houses down the street. I dont know if thats due to the multiple 90-foot-tall speakers or the fact that theres nothing between here and there except pastures and trees and a sound-amplifying river. And the livestream doesnt begin to give the full effect of the constantly-thumping base...or maybe thats the sound of 50,000 people simultaneously jumping up and down in ecstasy on the temporarily-installed hardwood floor that protects and preserves the pristine pastures for the prancing pleasure of million-dollar horses. Tickets for the three-night extravaganza (four, counting Thursday night for campers only) were $357 for general admission; $407 if you wanted a tent and blow-up mattress; $2,204 for two people in a DreamVille Easy Tent (sold out) and almost $8,000 for four people with accommodations at the DreamLodge, a/k/a horse barn (sold out). The vast majority of the attendees are from Europe or states other than Georgia.
