Butterfly kisses, I remember the first, It caught me in the - TopicsExpress

Butterfly kisses, I remember the first, It caught me in the corner of my eye; I was intrigued with its beauty, Though it was a simple disguise. I reached out to grab it, When its silver little wing; Nicked my on my finger, And then began to sing. Its loving melody soothed me, Still lingering in my head; So effortlessly it controlled me, Still haunts me in my bed. As it sang it fluttered about, It landed on my arm; And that’s where it gave me, Its very first kiss. Later that day it flew away, Without even saying goodbye. I remember the second, Swept in and landed on my thigh, Though this time it was different; I instantly began to cry. But its melody still soothed me, And wiped away my tears; It left ten kisses on me, Those I’ll remember for years. I remember the third, the fourth, And the fifth; They all came together, And tried to kiss my lips. When I did not allow them, They kissed my heart instead; And dug deep down, To live inside my head. They come out to play, And give me tender kisses; All around my legs, My sides, And sometimes my wrists. And although they’ve said goodbye, One stayed and cocooned inside; She comes out from time to time, With her beautiful razored wings. To kiss me goodnight.
