By Jove Ive got it!!!! Greetings my fellow Atlanta transplants...have you EVER wondered if there was a legitimate reason for the specific dialect of Atlanta? I knew Id figure it out because EVERY dialect has a beginning. for those that dont know what im speaking of...if you ever have the pleasure of witnessing a conversation between two Atlanta natives at some point the ends of words disappear and the speed increases. I knew I had it figured out when I first moved here because Ive worked for a few companies with british offices....Check out the documentary A very British Gangster and you hear the foundation of the Atlanta dialect. Im thinking of doing a minor linguistics study...as an #Aries my attention span moves around a lot.... LOL...I still havent found 1 passon that holds my long-termed attention. I need to hurry and hit the lottery so I can just be a philanthropist. ;-) anyway check it out....youll see im right.... #language it started somewhere...were all transplants into the US anyway...descendants of english folks that didnt want to follow the Queens rules...
