By focusing your energy into the Physical, Intellectual, Career, Social, Financial, Family and Spiritual aspects of your life, the New Year is bound to bring you health, happiness and prosperity! Sometimes, things can happen over the course of the year, whether it be a car accident, a cancer diagnosis, or anything else that may cause turmoil in your life. In general, it is always a positive step to plan ahead and set goals for yourself for the coming year. Setting goals in the 7 focus areas of your life can help you have an improved 2015. Here are a couple of tips for each goal: Physical: Chiropractors want to help you be the best that you can be as far as your alignment, structure, and nerve flow with regular Chiropractic adjustments in order to keep you as healthy as you can be. However, there are other ways to improve your health in the new year such as eating better, joining a gym, or signing up for a 5k race. Intellectual: Turn off the TV! It is OK to not know who the best dancer is among the stars. Pick up a good book with a subject that you enjoy, and you will find that your Intellectual health will improve. Career: Sometimes by looking beyond this coming year and looking 5 years down the road, you can ask yourself, Am I happy with my career? If the answer is no, try and think of steps that you can take in order to find happiness within your professional life. After all, you only have one shot at life - use it wisely! Social: Social goals can be difficult because we are so busy with our every day lives that we tend to forget to make time to enjoy the company of our family and friends. Financial: Although this is not my area of expertise, one thing that I know for certain is that people are prone to borrow too much money. Try to stop that and work towards paying off your credit cards and whatever loans you may have. Family: It is important to reach out to each member of you family and maintain strong connections with them. Spiritual: Regardless of what religion you practice, it is important to maintain that spiritual connection with prayer and study.
