**CALL TO ARTISTS 2015 Season** AGENTS OF PEACE February 6, 2015 (Deadline January 8, 2015) We live in a world in which tension is a constant. War, poverty and injustice seem to be ever present. We as artists have the ability to bring about communication and provide a unique perspective on these types of situations. We are seeking works that do just that. How, as artists, can we foster peace through our art? For consideration please submit your paintings, illustrations, photography, sculpture, etc. with an included statement of work. THE MINI SHOW March 6, 2015 (Deadline February 5, 2015) Life moves fast and we don’t want to miss the little things. That includes artists working on small wonders. If you have works smaller than 6in x 6in we want to showcase you. We want to explore those fine details that you so meticulously put into your works. Any art form is welcome for submission to this show. LIVE! April 3, 2015 (Deadline March 5, 2015) The art process can be an art in itself. Many don’t have the opportunity to see art in progress. It can be exciting and enlightening. If you are and artist that is willing to be vulnerable before your community we would like to showcase you in our LIVE show. Our First Friday event will run from 7pm to 10pm and works would need to be completed within this time frame. New City Studio will have wall space available during this event so additionally, other of your works can be displayed. RETURN TO RENAISSANCE May 1, 2015 (Deadline April 2, 2015) Michelangelo. Botticelli. Van Eyck. Da Vinci. Renaissance. The rebirth of classical antiquity. Renowned for religious altarpieces, frescos, historical imagery, and mythological scenes. In this show we seek to celebrate those artists who work in realistic representations, three dimensionality of space and other “classical” themes. Painting, drawing, and sculpture are all welcome for submission. Entry Requirements: _Artist Statement _Image of submitted piece (up to three) (.jpeg format) _Image Title, Medium, Size, Price _Artist Contact information: Name, Phone, Email, Website Please submit materials by email: newcity.artsgroup@gmail by the required deadline with the “show tile” in the subject line. Accepted artists will be notified by email within 7 days of the show deadline. Artwork should be delivered and ready to hang on the weekend before the opening date of the show. The artist will be notified of exact date and time upon being accepted. Artwork should be picked up within 7 days of closing date of show, or otherwise previously arranged pick-up date. New City Studio charges no entry fee and no commission fee. All sale proceeds go directly to artist.
